Introduction

Holiday accommodation for ten people, an electricity allowance and gas are included for £695 per week high season and bank holidays and £595 low season.

This privately owned holiday house is in Lower Manche on the edge of a small village opposite the church and has delightful uninterrupted views over a wide valley. It can be reached from the northern ports of Bas Normandy (Caen or Cherbourg) in just over an hour and 2.25 hours respectively. The area known as bocage is located on the edge of the Swiss Normande and is farming country.

The house has been modernised and offers accommodation for up to ten people. Parts of it are over 200 years old. It has five bedrooms and is equipped as a holiday home. The garden is contained, and includes a gravel area and grass under trees. Inside the gates there is parking for three cars.

Heating is by electric convector heaters in each room. There is a log fire in the dining room and wood burning stove in the living room. Hot water is by night storage tank.

In the locality there are many typical Normandy villages and towns some with good restaurants, Sourdeval, the local major town has a weekly market, selling everything from livestock and vegetables to farm equipment.

This is the area where William the Conqueror was born, it is peppered with interesting things to see and do, William was born in Falaise 15kms away. The more recent military history is well documented, each little hamlet has a plaque detailing the events of 1945.

Mont St Michelle, Granville a charming seaside resort with beaches to the north and south, Avranche, Bayeux and the Normandy Landing Beaches are a short drive.

Local facilities (within 5 kms) includes golf (9 holes when last counted), swimming pool, a pleasure lake, tennis. It is an ideal cycling area. Plenty of exhilarating walks with recommended routes for strollers as well as the hardy walker.

During the high season this year the lettings are from Saturday 4.00pm - to Saturday l0.00am - although we try to be flexible.
